Web shop launch plus a very cute commission!
I hope everyone has had a great week! I know times are still difficult at the moment (I live in Manchester and just last night it was announced we have been put into a local lockdown!) but I hope everyone is managing to make the most of it the best that they can. It is a very warm 30C here at the moment so I hope you are all getting outside and getting some sun - or staying in where it is cool if that is what you prefer!
I am so very excited to announce that my new web shop is now up and running! I am selling prints, gifts, cards and originals directly through my website now so please check out what is on offer, and more items will be added over the coming months!
I completed two very different drawings this week and really did have so much fun doing them. The first is a commission for a rather beautiful pug called Tia. I could see from the photos and from talking to the owner that she is a real character, and this is something I realy tried to capture in my drawing. I hope you can see her cheeky personality!
The second drawing I completed this week is a lovely original piece of a gorgeous Atlantic Puffin which I have entitled "The Clown". It was so great to use all of the wonderful and varied colours in this drawing which I don't ususally get to use. There were also some very different techniques to create the smooth beak and feathers. I would love to hear what you think! The Clown will be available as prints and gifts very soon - so keep an eye on the store!
I received a wonderful parcel yesterday from the Coloured Pencil Shop - a set of 50 pencils created to celebrate Bonny Snowdon's 50th birthday. These all look so fantastic and the set contains many brands of pencils that I haven't used (I have only really used Faber Castell Polychromos pencils so far). I will post a review on the different pencils once I have used them for a while.
I hope everyone has a great weekend and I will post a new post next week!
